Art Cocktail Brugge.
D.E.V.E. Gallery Brugge-Moscow & Eurasian Foundation for the Support of Art.
This artistic event will unite the works of contemporary artists, sculptors and photographers from different countries in a breathtaking « cocktail » with the best ingredients in it – talent, skill, fantasy and uniqueness. The excellent location of the Jan Garemijnzaal which is situated right in the center of the City of Bruges on the Market Square will let the great amount of citizens and guests from all over the world « taste » and appreciate it. The event will be officially opened on the 13th of November in the presence of artists, authorities and representatives of the artistic and business elite. Art Cocktail Brugge will be officially opened by the Burgomaster of the City of Bruges Mr. Renaat Landyut.
Participation in « Art Cocktail Brugge » opens the way to the special conditions for the participation in the next Art Cocktail Moscow event and for the organization of your exhibition in D.E.V.E. Gallery Moscow.

Martine Kouwenhoven bekijkt de familie Romanov, plaatst hen in de context van hun tijd en toont de schitterende cultuur van het Rusland dat zij regeerden.
In 1913 vierden de Romanovs dat hun dynastie 300 jaar aan de macht was in Rusland. Dit ging gepaard met veel ceremonieel en het vertoon van een onnoemelijke rijkdom, pracht en praal. Nietsvermoedend van de zwarte wolken boven hun hoofd werd er gevierd aan het Russische Hof.
Het Huis Romanov is de dynastie die circa 300 jaar over Rusland geregeerd heeft. De familie Romanov stierf al vrij snel uit in mannelijke lijn (Elisabeth I was de laatste « volle » Romanov Tsarina), waarna een familielijn in vrouwelijke linie verder regeerde onder de naam Romanov-Holstein-Gottorp. Er kwam een einde aan deze dynastie toen de Russische Revolutie in 1917 uitbrak. De tsaar werd gevangengenomen en later geëxecuteerd.

Preview of the EU Eastern Partnership conference Vilnius.
Between Russia and the EU lie the countries of the EU's Eastern Partnership. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, from the Caucasus mountains to the Black Sea coast, all these countries are performing a balancing act between better relationships with Moscow and Brussels. The November 2013 Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, which currently has the rotating presidency of the EU, promises to be more than another summit - far reaching Trade and Association Agreements are to be signed with many of them, notably with Ukraine. Russia is following these developments in its 'zone of privileged interests' or Near Abroad with more than mixed feelings, and the occasional threat. Armenia has already made its choice, joining the Russian-lead Customs Union with Belarus and Kazakhstan in September. What will Ukraine do? And the other countries? A group of experts from academia, the EU, Eastern Partnership countries and Civil Society will preview the developments of the summit, making up the balance of the last few years, and looking forward to the future of Russia, the EU, and all the countries in between.
