Né à Udjar, Semipalatinsk (Kazakhstan) en 1938. Ecole des Beaux Arts à Moscou
Ancien Président de l'Union des Artistes du Kazakhstan. Réside actuellement à Anapa (Mer Noire, Russie).
Dans sa carrière de plus de trente ans, Gennady Zavizionny a exprimé ses réflexions et ses passions dans une ligne permanente d'expérimentation non figurative.
Une série particulière de « faces-profils » et de toiles à dominante blanche « Les cavaliers » témoigne de la poursuite de ses recherches techniques et esthétiques. La foule - The Crowd.
Gennady Zavizionny peint des paysages aux accents romantiques qu'il a trouvés dans les montagnes du Kyrghystan voisin puis de la Biélorussie où il vécu dans les années 1990.

Born in Kazakhstan 1938, Moscow Art School, President of the Artists's Union of Kazakhstan (1989).
Gennady Zavizionny is a strong and passionate nature and a constant experimentalist. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he continued quiet experimentations ans, at the same time, tries to follow closely the development of political events. At that time, he painted such works as “They Walk in the Darkness”, in which physical blindness becomes a symbol of moral and any other blindness of society.
In a parallel stream, the second line in the arts of Zavizionny is developed in his landscape natural forces. As a rule, he paints from nature, preserving on the canvass the brightness of the space, showing the world in the condition of quietude and stability.
