Andrey Boreyko poursuit son cycle Chostakovitch avec la célèbre Cinquième symphonie dédiée au peuple russe. Le pianiste Alexander Melnikov, en résidence à BOZAR MUSIC, dialogue sur scène avec Leo Wouters, soliste de l’ONB. Autre moment exceptionnel : Christa Schönfeldinger fait résonner son orgue de verre accompagnée de l’accordéoniste Teodoro Anzellotti. Les instruments sont à l’honneur dans Armonica de Jörg Widmann, un artiste également en résidence à BOZAR MUSIC.

Andrey Boreyko concludes his Shostakovich series with the composer’s most famous symphony, the Fifth, dedicated to the Russian people. Alexander Melnikov, BOZAR MUSIC pianist in residence, enters into a dialogue with Belgium’s Leo Wouters, the NOB’s trumpet soloist. There is also a rare, fascinating opportunity to hear the glass harmonica, as Christa Schönfeldinger and Teodoro Anzellotti perform Armonica by Jörg Widmann, also in residence with BOZAR MUSIC this season.
