In 2022, pianist Timur Sergeyenia celebrates the 45th anniversary of his concert career.
During this period, he has played more than 3000 concerts in many countries around the world.
In 2020, the French Academic Society « Arts-Sciences-Lettres » awarded him the highest award, the Platinum Medal and the title of laureate for 2020.
This award has been awarded annually since 1915. The first laureate was Queen Elizabeth of Belgium. Among the laureates are Louis Lumiere, Albert Schweitzer, Olivier Messiaen, Tibor Varga, Yehudi Menuhin, Jacques Yves Cousteau and many others.
In 2010 Timur Sergeenya played the main role in the film of the legendary French director Pierre Viallet « Hommage to Robert Schumann » (Germany-France)
Timur Sergeyenya is a professor of special piano at the LUCA School of arts, campus Lemmens, Leuven.
Timur Sergeyenia received his musical education from outstanding musicians who continue the most important traditions of the old Russian piano school. His professors were G. Shershevsky (former student of legendary russian pianist V. Sofronitsky), I.A. Tsvetaeva (former student of L.N. Oborin) and N.L. Shtarkman (last student of K.N. Igumnov, one of the founders of the Russian piano school).
Timur Sergeyenia's professional career also developed in contact with world famous musicians. Among them are Gustav Leonard, Paul Badura-Skoda, Hans Leygraf, Lazar Berman, Fou Tsoung, Tatiana Nikolaeva and many others. "«  listened with admiration to your playing! » I. Menuhin.
