Non-Conformism (informal underground art in the USSR,) unites artists of various trends in fine art from the 1950s to the 1980s. The Soviet government officially forbade it. Leningrad nonconformist artists were not part of "˜The Artists Union of the USSR" and were considered dangerous elements of society as they denied Social Realism ideas.
