Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale is the longest-running contemporary biennial in Russia since 1995. The centerpiece of the last 12th edition was the exhibition “Mir: the Village and the World. An artistic discovery of the Russian village”, a fundamental study of the Russian village, past and present. More than 30 artists from Russia and Europe traveled all over the country, wandered into the Siberian taiga, conquered the Ural mountains and explored the tundra in Yakutia.BOZAR is inviting Simon Mraz (AU/RUS), initiator of the project and director of Austrian Cultural Forum Moscow, Maria Bukova (RUS), curator and a director of Krasnoyarsk Biennial and a Krasnoyarsk Museum center “Ploschad Mira” and Alex Anikina (RUS/UK), an artist-researcher and film-maker, a participant of the biennial for a full evening’s program of screenings, book presentation and conversations.

La Biennale du musée de Krasnoyarsk a été lancée en 1995 et est, à ce titre, la plus ancienne biennale d’art contemporain de Russie. Le point d’orgue de cette 12e édition a été l’exposition « Mir : le village et le monde. Découverte artistique du village russe », une étude fondamentale du village russe, passé et présent. Plus de 30 artistes de Russie et d’Europe ont sillonné le pays, exploré la taïga sibérienne, gravi les montagnes de l’Oural et parcouru la toundra en Yakoutie.
BOZAR invite Simon Mraz (AU/RUS), auteur du projet et directeur du Forum culturel autrichien à Moscou, Maria Bukova (RUS), commissaire et directrice de la Biennale de Krasnoyarsk et du centre Ploshchad Mira à Krasnoyarsk, et Alex Anikina (RUS/R-U), cinéaste et artiste-chercheur participant à la Biennale, pour une soirée passionnante avec au programme des projections, des débats et la présentation d’un livre.
