« Душа поёт » — The soul is singing. This is an expression frequently used in Russia to show happiness. When you’re in a good mood, you sing. This is what the members of the Russian choir Possev do in order to bring happiness to others. They don’t sing cheerful songs only, solemn and melancholy music is also dear to their hearts.
Their repertoire consists of excitingly arranged folk songs as well classical and sacred works by Russian composers. Since it was founded in 2003, this a capella choir has been under the artistic direction of Olga Durnova.
